Emma Cline is the author of The Girls, The Guest, and the story collection Daddy, Switzy, longlisted for the Booker Prize, will be published September 2026.

The winner of the Plimpton Prize, Cline was also named one of Granta's Best Young American Novelists. In 2021, she won an O. Henry Prize for “White Noise,” and is a 2024 Guggenheim Foundation Fellow. She is also the recipient of the 2024 Jeannette Haien Ballard Award.

Her stories and essays have appeared in The New Yorker, The Paris Review, The New York Times, Granta and The Best American Short Stories.
